Altibox claims Norwegian multiscreen first

The Norwegian fibre-to-the-home provider Altibox says it will be the first in Norway to offer live TV and video on demand services across all screens.
Branded ‘Chill’, the product will launch to the PC and Mac on October. It will be added to tablets and smartphones at a later stage.
“Our costumers expect us to be in front in the technological development. Being the first in Norway to launch this product proves that we live up to these expectations,” said Leif Aarthun Ims, CEO at Altibox.
Reception of Chill is being restricted to Norway with adaptive streaming adjusting image quality depending on the available bandwidth and device. Among the features it is possible to commence viewing on the TV and later move to another device.
