I have just installed the E2 on to usb stick and used multiboot, couldnt get the boot screen at the start, fixed that by changing the resolution size. Now the box shows the boot screen for a couple of minutes, then the screen goes black, how long should I leave the box for E2 to start?

You've got something wrong there. It doesn't take very long after the boot logo for enigma to be ready to use.
Do you connect it with HDMI cable, because that what it defaults to when first booted.

Thanks for the response, I am using the video out and optical link to a home cinema system, so no HDMI cable. Can the default be set to RGB etc.?

@bigfoot007 edit /etc/videomode - delete its content and inster 'pal' - then reboot E2.
If the above does not work then edit /usr/local/share/enigma2/settings
find

config.av.videoport=whatever

and change to

config.av.videoport=Scart

then reboot E2.
The firstboot videowizard is not enabled by default in latest E2 release, that cause the problems.

Got it working, found the answer on another forum for the IPBOX, have to change several lines in the setting file to get the startup wizard to work.
