75E: Tajikistan programs switch to DVB-S2

Tajikistan multiplex broadcast on satellite ABS 1 (75°E) is preparing to change the parameters of income. 6.2.2012 to pass multiple DVB-S to DVB-S2 8PSK modulation. Individual programs will be broadcast in MPEG-4/SD.

Tajikistan used multiplex band transponders will reduce by half (to 6277 MHz) and total capacity mux is reduced to about 72 percent. These savings help deploy and DVB-S2/8PSK compression MPEG-4 at the television stations.

A packet of Tajikistan contains four programs - TVT 1, TV Safina, TV and Bakhoriston Jahomnnamo. In addition, the multiplex 3 radio programs. All stations are broadcast FTA.

Existing technical parameters:
ABS 1 (75°E) freq 12.693 GHz, pol V, SR 9300, FEC 3/4, DVB-S/QPSK, FTA

New technical parameters from 6.2.2012:
ABS 1 (75°E) freq 12.690 GHz, pol V, SR 4650, FEC 2/3, DVB-S/QPSK, FTA

Parallel distribution of old and new parameters will not be provided for technical reasons. After switching off the DVB-S multiplex is 6.2.2012 to switch the packet with the new parameters, which will use the newer DVB-S2. For viewers will mean changes to the planned realignment of set-top box on that date. To receive the necessary HD set top box.
