Can anyone with the above setup please supply me with a clear photograph of the polar mount in place?

I am beginning to think I have part of it upside down, which could explain why my signal levels are not too good and the fact that the bar on top that connects to the actuator arm is limiting movement to set the angle of the dish.

I couldn't see the grooves lines, but i checked and they are on both, top and bottom.
So, maybe it dosen't matter which way you install it.

Thank you. I will compare them carefully with mine.
I am not so sure that mine is the wrong way round, if it is possible, but will have a good look when I can.

I don't think it's upside down.
What it does, when mounted this way, is that it creates a declination offset angle from the rotation axis angle towards the dish bracket; to enable that an offset dish mounted to it can have an elevation of about zero (relative to the mount-part in question here), so that the offset angle of the dish is "compensated". [If needed I can explain this better, more extensive; but maybe you understand already?]

I don't see that when mounted the other way round, that you could still set the needed dish elevation.

@dog-man : Can you post a photo where can be seen, how the actuator is limited in movement?
Is it maybe that you cannot fully extend the actuator, because the actuator collides with the mount?

To me it looks like the actuator triangle design is not the best imaginable, though, looking at the photo from @stel883 ..

I must have another go at tweaking the dish.
I never really set it up truly accurately, and it's had a bit of a battering by various storms.
Poor health and family issues have prevented me from giving it much attention for quite some time, so I must try and find a day with good weather and see what I can do.
