£450 for new HD box, which one?

Hi all,

I am new to the forum and noticed that you have lots of HD box info.

Basically i have about £450 give or take.

I think the obvious choice is the 800 as it ticks the main box, cccam!

I have a server and only require the HD box to connect to the server.

I would like the facility to record to a usb device or to a internal hdd. i would like to have a twin HD tuner. One thing i really miss is a good EPG and i read that the Cube Revo has a good working EPG for Sly UK.

can anyone give any advice for me please? will the cube connect to a cccam server?

The 800 does not have a twin tuner. The AZ box CCcam is limited in that it can only have one c line. It should be ok for connecting to a server though.

The software for the 800 is being developed very rapidly and is considerably better than even a month ago.

Thats why i am looking at the 800, purly because of the on going updates.

Very tough decision.

On that also would i be able to buy a Premiere HD card and put it in the 800 or would i need a smargo?

Or would a polsat be a better card for share?

as you may know the db 800 has one tuner
thr azbox has un occical version of cccam and new versions of official cccam servers are blocking it. so you would need to stay on An old version. but what happens when sly give out the new cards i bet cccam will. have something to do about it.

the cuberevo/ipbox 9000hd has its own incubus cam that can connect to cccam and also runs camd3 and some others that can connect to servers the cuberevo has better support and fully working EPG And ENIGMA2 is coming along very well thanks to the teams on here and other boards......

Hi Jamie, the Cuberevo was the box i was leaning towards to be honest. i could run a 500 with all the lines on it and just leave it on standby mode. make one line to the cuberevo.

It really is a tough decision. i suppose i could always sell it if i change my mind in 6 months.

Do you have any ideas of the best place to buy the box from? also what is the current best image? at the moment i use Cccam.
