Here is an interesting finding.
Had problems with some channels on my DM800se so decided to test another BCM4505 tuner which I ordered.
Installed the new tuner and found that some channels failed to tune.
Re-installed the old tuner and the channels came back.

My conclusion is that the suppliers have different standers.

So all BCM tuners are not equal, some tuners are more equal than others.

I guess they could be produced at different factories mate.

DM800HD se with BCM tuner?

Just got a dm800se with a BCM tuner.i am not sure whether it's a clone or original so I can flash a newer image( black hole or DElite).
Would be thankful for any help.

Take at look at the front screen as it boots. Any sim info ? Any gold sim 2 sticker underneath ?

You need to find out the sim version before flashing anything mate.

It's a gold sticker underneath with sim 2.10 on it. Is it original and also good for recent images? If yes which image please ?

Optiflasher from Yassinov?

Now I'm fixed.thank U Ferret.
The optiflasher helped me to flash new images to my DM800hd in a very simple way.I will be happy to know if the Yassinov flasher could also do the job for DM 800 SE without Dreamup.
Again thx for your help

Not a program ive ever used.

Flashing via browser is the best method for standard flashing.
