This does not work with my new DM800hd clone
I have 7 lnbs attached to 2 dishes (4 one 1 3 on the other)
Up to now I have used 2 Openbox9 receivers with 2 Diseqc (4x1)--4in 1 out.
I could not get the Openbox9 receivers to work with a single Diseqc (8x1) which would be
have been the ideal solution.My workaround was to use an AB-switch--I connected the two cables
coming from the 2 diseqc(4x1) to the 2 AB-switch input connections and AB-switch output connector goes to the receiver.
By pressing either button on AB-switch I control which diseqc is connected to encoder thus controlling which satellites are
directly connected.On the Openbox I defined which satellites were connected to each of the 4 diseqc ports did an automatic scan
scan all relevant transponders were found and worked.I then pressed the AB-switch to connect the second Diseqc(4x1) redefined 4 ports
as above for additional
3 satellites did automatic scan all relevant transponders work fine.
After the first 2 initial scans all I now have to do in order to connect different diseqcs is to switch off encoder(never disconnect
lnbs when powered up).Press AB-switch. Switch on receiver and all relevant channels are visible.
This does not work with my new DM800hd clone. I have to reassign ports to the correct satellite every time I use the AB-switch(no new scan required).If I
do not reassign ports the channels are greyed out.
Hope for some solution maybe editing the satellite.xlm file

Simply replace your AB switch with a relay switch from Spaun.
It goos on the roof with the diseqc swithes.
Connect each Diseqc to a port.
Your DM800 will swich between the 2 1-4 DiseqC automatically.
You need to tell it which Diseqc is on which port.
It looks like this:

Here is an example of using the relay switch with 2x1-4 diseqc:

First 4 LNBs
Configuration Mode = advanced
Satellite = Hotbird 13E
Voltage mode = Polarization
Tone mode = Band
LNB = LNB 1 … 4
DiSEqC mode = 1.1
Toneburst = None
Committed DiSEqC command = AA, AB, BA, BB
Fast DiSEqC = Yes
Sequence repeat = Yes
Command order = uncommited, commited, toneburst
Uncommitted DiSEqC command = Input 1
DiSEqC repeats = none
LOF = Universal LNB
Increased voltage = yes (if wire is long)
Polarity = Auto
Tone Amplitude = 800mV



Next 4LNBs
Configuration Mode = advanced
Satellite = Badr 26E
Voltage mode = Polarization
Tone mode = Band
LNB = LNB 5 … 8
DiSEqC mode = 1.1
Toneburst = None
Committed DiSEqC command = AA, AB, BA, BB
Fast DiSEqC = Yes
Sequence repeat = Yes
Command order = uncommited, commited, toneburst
Uncommitted DiSEqC command = Input 2
DiSEqC repeats = none
LOF = Universal LNB
Increased voltage = yes (if wire is long)
Polarity = Auto
Tone Amplitude = 800mV

Only change the ones in Blue colour

Just to make sure I understand
Instead of my AB-switch which has 2 in lines and one out line I just connect the Spaun Sur-211f which also has the same 3 connectors??
From what I have found the switch costs about EUR20

Correct, just replace the old AB aswitch with the Relay switch.
Dont forget to set it as uncommited​

It is always better to specift the switch type.

Switch could be any other type like AB switch using 0-12
or 0-5 volt for switching between 2 ports normally require an external power supply.

There is also a 22Khz switch that works in the same way as the Relay (without an external power supply).
It can also be connected to one port of the DiseqC to add f2 further LNBs. The 4 port becomes 5 ports.

The DiseqC switch uses the Eutelsat protocole and switches between 2, 4 or 8 ports through internal commands (from the receiver) using the same cable that is bringing down the signal.
The are diffrent versions like 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 (for motorized version).
They are normally backward copatiable.​
