Newbie DM800 HD DVB-T USB

Hi Everyone,

I have a DM800 HD Clone and have to say that iCVS image is the best, but as an experiment i have a DVB-T USB dongle, am i able to use this on the dreambox to tune DVB-T signals, my wireless dongle had no problems being found by the box, just this DVB-T tuner doesn't register for some reason?

Hi

I am in a same problem. The driver for USB DVB-T is not included in this image. You must install it manually. Some people have installed it with success . In my case I never.
I have the driver for afatech 9015 .I installed it following exactely some guide but it never comes up.
Try to install another image like DE 1.0 or sifteam v175. The drivers for USB stick are included and it run olug and play.

Installation:
0- plug your dvbt tuner
1- transfer lataamo.ipk to /tmp with your favourite ftp software
2- restart enigma
3- launch lataamo plugin
(3')- select list if you would see if your tuner is found
4- select install
5- when finished restart your dreambox
6- restart enigma

Now go menu > information > about ,you must see a tuner B
Has been tested with different images with Pinnacle 72e tuner

Hi Irco

I tested already this plugin without success. I tested it again now on Rami Maher image without success.
On Menu -> information ->about I found only one tuner (Alps BSBE2 DVB_S2).
Perhaps this plugin doesn't work on clone machine.
I tested it on image installed on multiboot.
Does this plugin works on multiboot ?

For me it work on most image with new kernel

What is your dvbt tuner?

not tested in multiboot, but i think it must installed on internal flash then on multiboot, but not sure. Before with old kernel my dvbt tuner worked on multiboot and flash but wasn't stable.

Hi

My stick USB DVB-T works on all image builded with old kernel ..7.3.
With image with new kernel .7.4 it works only on DE 1.0 and SifTeam 175.
I have compatible Afatech AF9015 stick. it detected automatically with the list from Lataamo plugin .At the end of the check I have Your tuner is :af9015.

When I press install I have this error.

Installing driver modules for af9015
installation cancelled driver package not found. please check
/tmp/dm800-dvbt-af9015.tgz.

I do the install again and I put the driver dm800-dvbt-af9015.tgz in /tmp.
The installation is done with success but I don't see the dvbt tuner.
This is the message I have when i put the driver on /tmp
Untarring driver package
no need to modify /usr/bin/Enigma2.sh (Already patched)
af9015 installation ready .Please reboot your DM800! Enjoy.
Execution terminated

After the reboot the usb tuner is not there.

Hi

In my case when I install the driver. I must reboot the dreambox (not enigma) then it show me a second tuner but no signal after that I must restart enigma to makr it work.

Can you telnet this command and return the result:

/usr/bin/delitedtt.sh

in my case,after installation, I must restart the dreambox then restart enigma. I think it must work with you. you can also try a clean installation with last oozoon or merlin. Or try to get the driver of sifteam or DE 175 (when you began installation, for a moment you must see the driver in /tmp, you make a copie and try to install with it in other image

Hi,..I did add the plugin to my dreambox 800HD,..when I press the green button I can see the Lataamo Plugin in the plugins menu,..when I press OK to install the plugin I get the following message....
Installing DVB-T USB tuner...
Checking kernel version....
Kernel must be 2.6.18-7.4-dm800
Execution finished
I seems to be that the kernel version on my dreambox800 is not suitable for the Lataamo Plugin,...is it possible for me to upgrade to the new kernel 2.6.18-7.4 ??
I am using dreamEliteBH_DM800_130A-ramiMaher for bootloader #72

I want to run an dvb-t A867 avemedia (AF9015 fw) on my db800hd clone with an iCVS image.
I have installed firmware e drivers, running usbtuner i obtain:

FE Open: Success
A867 USB DVB-T: Success
DMX_START failed - Invalid argument

What do i do now?

The best image for usb dvbt tuner which I am using it is nemesis 110 with oe1.6 it has dvbt panel ,if you want oe2.0 image still not any news to works with usb dvbt , but many people writed it works with italysat 4.0 image .Good luck.

Tnx x reply, but i dont want to change image.

using dreamelite 3,on same decoder, usb was correctly recognized ed i use it. But i need to work with usbtuner on an iCVS image.

Kernel e drivers are ok, i dont understand how i can add tuner dvb-t in Enigma "Configuration tuner" panel.

I have add a terrestrial.xml correctly.
If i click on a dvb-t channel i have a crash of enigma2:
