Hi all,I flash my dreambox 800 HD 3 time's no problem,my friend he bought a dreambox and I tray to flash exactly similar like I did my dreambox,cannot flash with web interface I don many time's,I don as well with dream up with RS serial cable 232 nothing ,can any suggest tome what I am doing wrong or the receiver cannot get image,please let me know,Regards Nick

It is very simple.
1º - You must get from DREAMBOX the DREAMUP
2º - you must have a nullmodem cable.
3º - Connet the nullmodem cable to the DM
4º - Open the dreamup
5º - Click connect
6º - Put DM ON
7º - It begin the work.
8º - When finish, you put the image you want, after, without
disconnet
9º - It takes about 1 HOUR
10º - When it finish, you can disconnect and work as normal.
11º - The Boot now is the inicial.
Good luck

2º - MAKE SURE THE PORT COM LIKE 1 OR 2 OR 3 ETC.
3º - Key CONNECT
4º - NO NEED of the IP because it is working throught the COM port
5º - It begins to work. It MUST
6º - After finish, DONT DISCONNECT AND PUT THE IMAGE THEN KEY
IMAGE. It takes about 1 hour.
7º - you must understand this. It is done with the nullmoden
nothing with the IP - Internet.
8º - After this you can put the DM OFF and take off the nullmodem
cable
9º - Put the DM on.
10º- It works with all dm.

Hi mate
Try going in to setup communications network and ensure DHCP is on and save, take a note of the IP when your in there. Now pull the power leave 10 seconds and holding the power button down re apply power.
The IP should show in the display. If it does you can now reflash any image with the browser method.
If not check you Ethernet cable and router.

If the DM is crashed, the only way is with the DREAMUP and
nullmodem to make it O.K.

I know that mate, macssam does not mention if the box will or wont respond to the remote just he has no IP. So we dont know if the image has crashed just there is no communication. No IP at boot could indicate the 800 is not in DHCP mode which it need to be if a IP is to be found for browser flash. It could also mean it has crashed
If the above does not help then yes is a DreamUP job.
