Hello,

I'm trying to help a friend install a Sky Q box in France. Her son had it installed in his flat and has then taken the box and card to his mum in France. I've fitted an Inverto Wideband LNB and checked the dish alignment is good - it's a large 120cm dish as we're quite far south and that size generally gives good results on Freesat and Sky channels with a Sky HD + box.
I have a good signal on both H & V outputs of the LNB measured with a satlink meter adapted to LO 10.41. Signal at the receiver is the same on both cables the cable run is only approx 20M and good quality.
So can anyone suggest why the box says No Satellite signal! My understanding is the cables can be either way round as the inputs on the box are marked 1 & 2 not H & V but I've tried reversing them. I've been in to the installer menu and tried a few different options on the Transponder page but still nothing. Where to go next except suggest she move back to the UK or I put her Sky HD + box back on.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

This is LNB compatibility issue.

1) Make sure the Sky Q is set to Wideband, and not dCSS in the tuning menu.
2) Or buy Sky Q compatible dCSS LNB, they're on eBay

To use Sky Q online features, I think you will also need a VPN.
