GTMedia has just started taking pre-orders for last Android 9 device GT Combo.
According to GTMedia's board forum, it can support 4:2:2 video format via software.
Testers had observed freezing troubles, by the way improvement is still continuing. Without strong hardware; playing 4:2:2 must be so difficult.
I can't share discuss links because of Sat-Universe's rigid prohibition regime. You can search "GT Combo" on search engines. For your information.
I am very unhappy with my starsat x3 extream and pro android device,100 feed sometimes not opening ,all time shows updating biss key plz wait,so i want a new receiver for hunting feed, just help to find me a receiver that works great

Default GT Media GT Combo Android 9.0 Time Display

Does anyone know whether it is possible to have the time displayed whilst the receiver is in stand-by mode? Thank you in advance for your answers. Have a nice day

Although GTMedia's Auto BISS doesn't work fastly, It can find the CW between 5 minutes and 30 minutes for most of feeds.

Of course GT Combo can't display 4:2:2 feeds as smoothly as a PC. It depens on bitrates of feeds.

GTMedia models display time in stand-by mode. Also Panel-LED can be closed in System Setup. Further questions, you can send to [email protected]

That's why; The "GTmedia Combo" model device is not suitable for "4;2;2".

Why is that so? Because the device( s905x3 ) is trying to decode "4;2;2" software based.

PCs also decoding "software based". However, the advantage of PCs; is the use of more powerful cpu/gpu. And the most efficient is the installation of the codec. During "4;2;2" decoding, CPU usage is around 35% on all PCs. CPU usage at a level of 3 - one; It makes PCs suitable devices for "4;2;2".

However, these advantages are not possible for devices running android software. ( use of embedded software etc. )

One last note! "4;2;2" is a commercial sampling type. And "4;2;2"; It can only be decoded "hardware-based" by commercially manufactured devices.

Re: Time display in stand-by mode - GT Media Combo Android 9.0

Thank you very much for your answer. However, we cannot work out how to set it. We have gone through every single item in the settings. Currently, the time shows upon start-up/turn on and then it changes to the channel number. When we turn the device off - stand by the display does not show anything. I was wondering if there is a way the device would show the time and mainly how to do it. Thanks again, I appreciate it
