Look at loader version in system information: if 504 or 505 you can use jtag, if series 7xx nothing.

But,excuse me,I want to ask another question,HUMAX5400 for example has a loader version,but when we patch it we dont care about it,s loader version because we can use a specific loader which is the HDF SMART,even the HOT TEAM make the software or the patch for all (5400)without any loader version,so I think there still something wrong in samsung tools

sammy motherboard is different respect same of hummy: if loader version is bad there is nothing that you can do......
