Hello All,
James saying hello to you all, I've been a satellite hobbyist since around 88, when I had my first multi-sat system installed, a 2m motorised dish at the end of the garden.
Those were the days of d2mac where I had to keep shipping a dedicated receiver back to Germany to be re-programmed at every change of encryption, then came programmable cards and sky tv on every table.
I've been in and out of the hobby over the years and have accumulated a heap of different boxes, cards and programmers.
I have been living and travelling around Europe for the last few years in a German Motorhome with an old Oyster sat system on the roof.
My receivers are an old, but still working skybox V8s which I am replacing with a Dreambox One UHD in the main cabin and a Dreambox DM520 in the sleeping compartment.
I've previously owned several Dreambox stbs, including a couple of the big 720 versions.
I'm playing around with the channels on Hotbird at the moment.
Looking forward to the discussions here.
Jim
