Technomate TM-5402 M3 PSU failures

New to Sat Universe,

I have repaired a couple of these boxes lately, the electrolytic capacitors on the power supply board are very poor quality (total of 8). I will be measuring the used ones and post the results early next week to to hopefully find the most stressed component, if you buy replacements try to use known brands (such as Panasonic, Rubycon) and make sure they are 105C temperature rated with low ESR.

C1 47µF 450V
C? 33µF 50V
C5 330µF 25V
C6 100µF 35V
C8 100µF 35V
C10 100µF 35V
C7 220µF 35V
C9 1000µF 25V

So looks like C5, C6 C8 & C10 get a real hammering and the capacitor which had the component reference not readable is just a very poor quality due to the high ESR.

These capacitors were removed from a 3 year old Technomate TM-5402 M3 which had had little use up until recently.

Found this forum very interesting and informative
Refurbished a couple of these lately and they do give a very good upscaled SD picture when using the component video out.
I have generated a component list to extend the life of the power supplies in these units if it is of any help to anyone.
