did you investigate "SIPSI In-band configurations" PID 32 ?
I did briefly investigate the SIPSI In-band configurations a while ago. These contain a carousel of all the SI for all of the different regional Freeview areas. When I looked at that PID in hex view I could see it repeating through all the names of each of the transmitter group areas (e.g. West Midlands, Gloucestershire, North West, South Lakes, etc.) that show on some DVB-T TVs when tuning Freeview (you often see them when you get asked to pick a region if your DVB-T TV/box picks up multiple transmitters on a scan).

I guess the EIT info on PID 58 gets combined with this in some way that ignores the invalid stream ID, to filter/apply it to the relevant transmitter group.

that's exactly what I was thinking !! somehow is still strange we don't get all the regional channels thru Intelsat 27.5 despite we have these streams !! Astra 2 must be used through the UK terrestrial network too and Intelsat transmission is for dark regions like Gibraltar ..etc. there must be a link

This isn't a main feed, only a secondary back-up for small re-transmitters in the network in case their main feed (usually via a UHF antenna picking up the main regional transmitter) fails, then the transmitter falls back onto this satellite service. I guess the "BBC ONE" VPIDs/APIDs get mapped to replace the usual regional version until the main feed comes back online. The wrong region is better than nothing at all in this case I guess!

It probably is used in Gibraltar as their main feed for the cable network there though like you say.

All the UK transmitters that use SFN (not many!) are fibre optic fed, so there's no satellite main feed unlike for France/Spain/Italy etc. unfortunately.

Default BBC Satback 27.5w BISS?

Does this still use BISS? When tuning into a channel, my oscam-emu live log does not show an attempt to search for a BISS key.

Thanks.

30 minutes of searching yielding nothing of use for BBC satback. 5 minutes on another forum suggested the need for additional scripts and a copy of lame.db. I have found nothing about that on this forum, save for one mention.

Am I wasting my time looking on this forum for info on BBC satback?
