Here is a new release of the IMDB plugin - so a plugin which retrieves the current program information from the internet movie database in English and in German by Moviepilot.de. This is also a cover photo and film review - if any - is.
Installation:
Like every plugin. plugin folder on a USB stick and the stuck in the Octi. If you there's something unclear, please check the FAQ board.
Improvements to the version of 29.01.:
It can now hit up to 10 alternative search of the film to be accessed (yellow button). Furthermore, according to imdb the best match is displayed immediately.
The handling and the speed of change of the film database / Alternative Hits improved.
Several small improvements.
The imdb plugin from this version runs only on Octagon receivers.
Use:
In live TV mode or when playing back a recording, press 2x on the Info button will appear that the summary of the program. Now press the Recall key and wait a bit. A running search can be aborted with the exit button.
After some time to open a window and possibly a cover image is displayed on the film. Furthermore, the evaluation of the film on a scale of 0 to 10 is shown. When using the imdb database also displays the number of votes that led to this assessment.
With the red or green button between IMDB (English), and movie pilot standards (German). The blue button the currently active movie will be set as the default database (that blue button if movie pilot is running: It starts in the pilot movie mode). With the yellow key, a list of other search results, the film will open in the movie database.
The plugin currently does not work from the EPG. When using a recording during playback, the file name as the title of the film is assumed. Say, if the picture is not correct to say, then the search will not be the correct result.
Limitations of the version:
The query is not in the EPG mode. This would sometimes come round to Fortis.
No support for other languages (no support for other languages).
