Some more details needed.

Was the dish installed before or was it newly installed with the Duo 4K

Did you install the dish, or someone else.

Have you tried moving the dish with the manual buttons on the motor.

What image do you have on the Duo

Hi
The dish moved with my
old VU solo
Been up there for about 10 years
It will not move with manual
and I use Black Hole latest
Thanks... Oxigen 2

Thank you for your answers, sorry for slow reply.

Your dish is ok, and if your VU solo operated it, there is no reason your new VU Duo 4k should not work.

I do not use the Black Hole image, but my understanding is that every enigma 2 uses the same command structure to operate the dish.

I suggest that you go back to your VU Solo and write down all the dish commands that were set up (or easier - take a photo of each set up screen. Then check that the Duo 4K has the same settings.

Another suggestion is to go to Menu>Setup>Tuner config>Positioner setup. Navigate to the Movement line, then use the red or blue buttons to move the dish east or west - does that work?

More thoughts - in the tuner set up screen what are your settings

Should be something like
config = simple
mode = positioner
long = 000.500 + west
Lat = 051.000 +north

config = simple
this setting is only for a Fixed Dish .

config = Advanced
is for motorized dishes
Then satellite positions need to be set exactly the same as VU solo were ..i have mine like this which is how i have it on my V-box but if its Disecq motor it is still very similar
just ensure Limits = OFF [ Red or Green button ] disable limits
42E = 1
39E = 2
28E = 3
etc..etc..

if your Channel list is up to date i use Catseye E2 lists
then you should be driving to each sat without issue even manally if limits are off
pretty much copy your old VU solo set up [ Menu>Setup>Tuner config>Positioner setup ] and ensure it still moves dish properly and you then should be good to test things out .
Good luck : )

diseqc motor will also work in full with config = simple.

Many commands in enigma2 work ok despite what is written in many user guides.

Only writing this so that Oxigen 2 can eliminate this particular setting as a possible reason why the settings in use do not work.

Hi Guys
I think I have a problem
with the dish.
I have got the dish to move
and all is well for a while
But
I then get tune failed

So I turn it off from the mains
and turn it on again.It works
I have checked all the arial
wire's all O.K
Could it be the Recepter (is this the bit in the dish )
Regards.... Oxigen 2
