crossepg for enigma2?

Its due to be included in the next PKT E2 image which wont be long-we hope

Its the sh4.ipk for E2 images on the IPbox/Cuberevo.

The current release being 'crossepg-enigma2_0.3.2-svn-33_sh4.ipk'.

the screen where you can set to how many days epg e.t.c ?

no jamie , its not for cable

I installed it on AAF summerdream. It does the data download and synch correctly it seems, the db is saved to the HDD.
After restarting the GUI, the EPG is empty.
Not sure what's going on.

Getting CrossEPG to work on E2

Here you go an easy way to get CrossEPG working on E2 images

many thanks palinkat i finaly got this working and it is easy when you know how lol

now i can set recordings days in advance.

for an easy set up of cross epg.

download this file and FTP it to tmp folder http://www.crossepg.com/downloads/crossepg/109-crossepg-enigma20-3-2-svn-33sh4/download.html

open putty or other telnet programme

login and at the curser put

cd /tmp

next line put

ipkg install crossepg-enigma2_0.3.2-svn-33_sh4.ipk

i had to do that twice for some reason for it to install

reboot GUI

then FTP to the file /etc/init.d/rcS ...right click and choose edit

and before the line

/usr/local/bin/enigma2

add this line

/var/crossepg/crossepg_epgmove.sh

Example:

echo "starting e2->"
/var/crossepg/crossepg_epgmove.sh
/usr/local/bin/enigma2


reboot gui again


now on menu button on remote go to setup, you will see new option " crossepg"

set up which sats you want in your EPG and other settings

now run crossepg programme in plugins

Thanks again palin as i only managed to get this working before in Iscanmod images and DGS based ones.

now it works in all images

Installed and downloaded EPG Ok.

what image ?

you can do it from menu/plugins screen

or blue button for menu, then plugins or maybe you have a crossEPG option there

first go to menu/crossepg and setup the way you want to use Crossepg

when your reeady press the EPG button on remote and choose either single epg or graphical epg

sorry above post should read menu/setup/crossepg

I have done all of above, Selected sat in menu/setup/crossepg, downloaded epg data via plugins, when i press epg button i get same empty epg i had before installing CrossEpg, Just standard PKT mod 6.0 Tideglo rev 0.6.0 EPG screen.
I was hoping to see GrossEpg Plugin (not GrossEpg Download) in plugins menu, as on DGS image.

I have found the problem!
When CrossEpg downloading it stops on Parsing summuries 6.91mb of 6.91mb, then goes back to plugins menu with black background. Not saving and converting EPG data.
De-selected S*y 28.4 in CrossEPG menu, run download again - All Ok. Epg UK is Full now.
So looks like i have problem with skyuk_astra2_28.4 settings/file.

If you can source ept.dat files for the providers your after, they can be easily imported.

Here are a few.......
I've only tested the two UK dedicated files (Satmate_sky.UK + Rytec-Sky UK). They are fine. The former seems to be a little better, but I could'nt say that for sure.
