Is this the 1st programming of your GigaCam, then you must first go into cam menu:
Common Interface --> Setting --> Parental control: insert [8888]

only now you will see the whole gigacam menu including the "Key Management" (see attached pic)

N.B. Important:
After upgrading to a new FW, you eventually need to go to Cam menu --> Utility --> [KeyReset] ... in order to activate new keys. After that update the latest keys with the latest softcam file! ;)

Instead of the Cas3, you can also use the official GigaCam programmer (about 20€) and the giga manager (v1.1 atm)

How to update the softcam (keys file) in your Giga Cam via Cas3!

-insert dummy card & cable tape & connect giga to the pmcia of cas 3

-open cas 3 & connect usb cable & serial cable!!!

-click cam module & then (Sky) joker cam

-then choose any of the module in joker cam as are all the same (Super Joker works best for me)

-when the new window opens, then open the giga manager (v1.1) as well

-now with giga manager choose the option you want to update(software or softcam) click it & browse the file(it will not start yet)

-now click on cas 3 window on [serial connection]
( a new small cas 3 window will open) [now you can use serial cable]

-click it [OK] and it will start programming

IF NOT start programing then click the serial button again

Good luck ;)

Big thx to babis3g for his helpful advices!

1. Connect the programmer with a serial cable and the PCB to the USB Cable. (The USB connection serves only to power.)

2. The programmer to insert the module. (but not yet in the PCB)

3. GigaBluemanager start COM port and select the image loaded.

4. Now the module from the PCB plug. (The reset button on the PCB,
does not work with the GigaBlue. So you have the module after
the load of the image in the PCB purely stuck.)

For the Gigakeys, Step 2 a.m. to 4 p.m. repeat.
