LG launches eye strain reduction monitors
The Korean electronics manufacturer, LG, has developed a range of monitors designed to reduce the amount of eye stress that working on computers for long periods of time can cause.
Eye strain can be quite common and is similar in nature to a repetitive stress injury.
As such it could be considered to be an occupational hazard.
The W53 from LG aims to prevent this from occurring through its automatic brightness control, which adjusts according to the surrounding environment.
This feature not only helps the user’s eyes, but can also save energy too.
The monitors come in sizes that range from 18.5 inch and go up to 27 inches.
The proximity sensor is also a nice feature, which detects movement nearby and activates the buttons for adjustments.
