Besides using a USB receiver stick such as WinTV-NOVA-S2, can one record programs on PC from a standalone box (the first that comes to mind is Technisat HD-S 221, but there are dozens) that is not explicitly designed to support a USB hard drive, and without cascading another box or card to record from one of the analog outputs?
(I searched for YT videos and reviews of products hoping the topic was brought up in the following text posts, but to my surprise apparently it is hard to find any independent video or review of satellite receivers.)
