The first release was buggy although tested well as claimed
sorry i could not test because i do not have sim1
but i expect to work with few sims and exactly with boxes with bootloader 72 those sold by ferrari team but will not work with most
still need further testing to see of original images work with full function with new bootloader
but we know even with success of upgrading the new images with latest drivers after 10-10-2010 can not be used with this upgraded bootloader

With this new 1.1 version I did upgrade my sim1 to ferrari successfully.
I did test with original DE133 and Gemini 5.1 with SSL76FF version 3 and both images work well.
You are right the last drivers can not be used. Neither for my second dm800 with sim 2.01. It is the same, we have to wait for new SSL or patch from both teams.
But still it is great, I can use the same drivers, mostly the same images for both dm800, only SSL are different.
This is super.

Download image link and flash to dream. Start image, make all need start setting after go to plugins menu. Start genuine ferrari plugin. Go to free SIM1 > Ferrari update position. Press ok. Wait 1 minute final screen. Copy /etc/8a8f8.log (for possible errors). Power off dream. Flash any image ready for ferrari sim from sat-universe. Enjoy.
p.s. For those who doubt, I will say that the card does not break down completely. They have no problem to recover repair software. I down 4 times my sim-card.

I have a sim1 with SS72.
please confirm:
1) flash a dream with FerrariRescueImage-1.1.nfi
2) before reboot, open new Firefox and flash a dream with SS72
3) reboot a new image
4) open plugin and start genuine ferrari
5) click on free sim1 --> to ferrari card
6) attend the message update card ok
7) re-flash dream with original image for example DreamElite

hi I tried yesterday with two cardreaders infinity usb and cas3 but no one of them not connecting with software to complete updating ,anybody knows how it works with infinity usb or cas3.Thanks.

You do not need any cardreader. You can upgrade your sim1 card in the dm800 box.
Just read in previous message :
"Flash your box by this NFI image, select MENU, PLUGINS and FERRARI GENUINE. Select last option - UPGRADE -
Then flash this image

no don t work for me

menu and update sim1 to ferrari OK.
i flash again with dream elite patch or orig
and re flash again with bootloader 76FF or(ferrari image)
but after i have only NO CA FOUND....
ANY HELP?

Are you sure you have the correct sim1 card?
You must have a sim1 T1 model card to use this upgrate.

1-flash your box with "free-ferrari-upgrade-1-1"
2-At plugins choose "genuine ferrari"
3-click on free sim1 --> to ferrari card
4-attend the message update card ok
5-flash the dreambox with a ferrari image with SS76FF3 inside
