Can i run EMU 7.5 with loader 501, s/w124, h/w 504 in DSR9500EMVIA?

I have now got a second DSR9500EMVIA, and would like to upload this EMU Rev. Gold 7.5


My questions are:-

1. Can i upload EMU and KEEP CONAX, if i have s/w vers.124 & h/w vers. 504 in this receiver?

2. Do i need to change the software version from 124 to 133, so that i can run EMU in this receiver?

3. Can this DSR9500EMVIA work with emu vers. 7.5 WITHOUT losing the conax-patching, if it says the following in 'system information'?

loader vers.= 501
s/w vers. 124
h/w vers. 504

My other DSR9500EMVIA works fine with EMU, but is not quite the same in 'system information'...it says loader vers.= 500
s/w vers. 133
h/w vers. 503

I'm asking as i did once upload s/w vers. 133 to a DSR9500VIACI (which also had the SAME loader, vers.501 Multicas 100 AND h/w 504), and the receiver died - could never be turned on again.

hope someone can answer these questions for me!

ok, thanks, then as i understand it, i could put vers.133 in (to get emu), as my LOADER is 501, and not 504 (my hardware is vers. 504).

am i correct?

ok, thnaks oys, but if my receiver is already patched, and has loader 501 (not 504) is JTAG necessary?

Sorry, but i'm new to this...i think if i have loader 501, and patched from the begining, then JTAG might not be needed...am i right?

ok, thanks cuorino..i'll use this EMU vers. 7.5 to patch the receiver, and have latest s/w vers. 133.....as long as you're REALLY sure that i won't lose my embedded conax!
