4:2:2 Video in Dreambox

georgeflu, is it possible to stream it to the PC and then back to Dreambox so as to watch it on my TV screen? Or perhaps use a long HDMI cable (PC and Dreambox are in different rooms)?

no,it isn't possible to return the stream to the receiver. the only way,is if you can connect the pc to the tv (check your pc outputs and tv inputs if you can do it somehow).

Can you describe in detail how to connect via the interface (specific program - plugin) with VLC installed on PC. I suppose I'll watch the video 4:2:2 on the computer monitor.

Calokay, what box do you have? I assume you do hear sound on such a 4:2:2 feed, right?
I guess you have OpenWebif installed, don't you?
Then you just open the stream from there using VLC (eg. 2.1.3). It should play but may require some tweaking of VLC settings.
