How to Wlan Nabilo Black Hole DM800HD PVR

step by step How To use Wlan on our DM800HD PVR

1. Menu--> Setup --> System --> Network --> Enable Wlan



2. Connect Your Wlan dongle and press OK



Your Dreambox will restart to enable wlan
3. Now You will see all networks around. Select right one and press OK on it




4. Here You need to choose what You want to use DHCP or No ( both mode is OK)



In same window You need to select Encryption Type and put Encryption Key - USE ONLY WPA WEP mode is not work here ( if somebody have success using WEP mode please inform us)
Also by pressing blue button You can put Your ISP Primary and Secondaty DNS ( if it need)



Now press OK to activate all changes
You have working WLAN on Your new baby now

p.s. to roll back Your wired line go to
Menu--> Setup --> System --> Network --> Enable LAN

p.p.s I was do my tests using this WLAN adaptor

in dreambox put this Wifi 1.2.2 plugins nab.tgz sory I did not find

Plug in the wireless dongle into your usb port.
Restart the dreambox.
Then when it's all up and running do
Menu -> Setup -> System -> Network

Hopefully you should see it in there, and then should be able to set it all up.

This is what I did on DE 1.33D and it worked for me.

Doesn't work for me, but I have a later version G122 that has the RT2870 chipset. I hope there is support for it soon.
I've read several guides to getting the RT2870 wifi dongles to work but none seem to work for me.

No, no other steps apart from what I've described.

Sometimes the DE image gets confused with mounted devices, I had this problem with my hard drive, which would not mount properly.

What I did was re-flash the box with DE 1.33D image, make sure the wireless dongle is not plugged in.

Then once the image is flashed, set it all up, mount the hard drive, etc (if you have a hard drive that is).

Once all your devices are mounted, and you're happy shut down the dreambox. Plug in the wireless adaptor into a dreambox usb slot and start it up.

Then do Menu -> Setup -> System -> Network

Hopefully you should see the device.

Also ensure you usb dongle is supported, I did check and it seems to be, you just need to be sure it not a chinese copy usb device

I have that D-Link dongle and it did not work (I think there are a few revisions of it and only one works). Nabilo and Dream Elite just didn't detect it.

The one I have that works is TP-LINK TL-WN321G which I bought off ebay for about £7
