Hi everyone,

I search a way to access my mac with my VU+.
Is there a plugin/addon to do this?
I attempt to mount a CIFS but it's SMB or AFP on my mac, is it the same?
I use to connect my PS3 with Apache, can I do the same?

Thanks for your consideration.

I had same issue...

with windows it's easy to mount PC HDD to my vuDuo but when move to mac osx i tried many methods with NO success :-(

BUT there is a solution i founded it, If you like me want to watch videos from your mac into vu+ use this method:-

my advice do not use CIFS,AFP or SMB try to use DLNA... How? see...

1- there is many APPs to make you mac as DLNA server and i almost tried them all the best one for me is "PlayBack" it's easy and smarter

2- in your vu+ download plugin "DLNA browser"

or if you have a TV that DLNA support also will work

that's in sort word, if you want any help tell me please

best regards :)

Thanks to pay attention but I find a way.
Well it's tricky but it's worth to take a look.
I did it manually with DCC (same software for DreamBox).

I use Telnet and the command is :

mount -t cifs //IP*/path** /***/ -o rw,user=****,password=****,nounix,sec=ntlmssp

*:IP to the mac
**:Name of the folder shared between / /
***: path of the folder which is created in the vu+ usually /mnt/shared but you have to create it.
****:username and password of the session open in the mac

I have to say that in system preferences/network you have to configure in advanced section:
WINS with the same workgroup of the vu+ solo2.

And that's it!
