Virgin Media chooses Basware for electronic invoices
Friday, November 5th 2010

Basware will provide Virgin Media with electronic invoices and other purchase-to-pay services.
Virgin Media has chosen a Guildford-based company to deliver a number of services, including electronic invoices.

The quad-play bundle provider, which offers broadband, cable TV, home phone and mobile products in the UK, agreed a three-year deal with purchase-to-pay solutions firm Basware, with the system set to go live in January 2011.

Under the deal, Basware will give Virgin Media the ability to convert all paper invoices to an electronic format, create order confirmations and write and upload catalogues.

Vice president of Basware UK Andrew Jesse expressed his delight that the company will be delivering its services to what he described as a "leading organisation".

He added: "Basware Connectivity service allows companies to handle purchase-to-pay processes online, improving supplier relationships and achieving fast return on investment."

Towards the end of October 2010, the firm announced it had passed the milestone of 100 partners across the world, with its customers including First Businesspost in Germany and Unified Post in The Netherlands.
