Persidera Network left 5W

Eute 5WB transponder 12543 H 34200 stream 33-34-35-36 are turned off.
Telecom Italia Media (TIMB1 -2 -3) and RETE A1 provider for terrestrial DVBT channels are still transmitted of course from Eutelsat 9°E freq 12466 V 41940 3/4 stream 33-34-35-36

Don't forget that if the satellite stops @ 33.1E the tracking will still show 7A as moving West as it is automatic,

So we will not know for sure for a few days when some human intervention corrects this.

actually LONGITUDE: 32.11

Next target is Eutelsat 16A (E16A, W3C, Eutelsat W3C) but quite recent it was launched in 2011 so it will probably go to support the Eutelsat 5W/B and they changed plans to get help at 5W ? It is only my opinion.

i hope you are right my friend ..it has a very long ways to go for that yet however but that is really the intelligent thing to do at this stage i would imagine , other than launch another Sat to support Eutelsat 5W/B which clearly needs all the help and support it can get .

As 33E / Hotbird 10 is very under used @ this location 33.1E Eutelsat may do a swap here with 7A & move Hotbird 10 to a new location.

https://www.flysat.com/e33e.php

since two days ago it is stationary around 30° and now it seems going back to 33° ? :p

33.595°E EUTELSAT 7A 28187 2020-07-09 02:00:01 1.170°W/day 0.380°
32.426°E EUTELSAT 7A 28187 2020-07-10 02:00:02 1.169°W/day 0.382°
31.259°E EUTELSAT 7A 28187 2020-07-11 02:00:04 1.167°W/day 0.384°
30.556°E EUTELSAT 7A 28187 2020-07-12 02:00:02 0.821°W/day 0.386°
29.734°E EUTELSAT 7A 28187 2020-07-13 02:00:02 0.819°W/day 0.386°
30.902°E EUTELSAT 7A 28187 2020-07-14 02:00:04 0.002°W/day 0.390°

actual LONGITUDE: 30.93

Interesting...

Satellites certainly have a kind of "braking distance" and the technicians will already know, how long the braking distance of satellites is ;)

When it should finally be 33° E, it will be exciting to see where the HB10 will go

Another consideration:
Perhaps the Eutelsat 7A was rented or sold to Arabsat

regards

Eutelsat 7A is at the end of its days of life who would buy it?

This 30.9°E slot was previously occupied by Eutelsat 31A,

So it looks like another slot reservation duty for 7A.

that would also be a plausible explanation.
But that is why a satellite is being push from 59° E to here?
Wouldn't there have been another satellite, that would have been closer?

Eutelsat does not seem to have much spare capacity in their estimation,

When Eutelsat Hot Bird 13F & Hot Bird 13G are launched in Sept 2021
Eutelsat will be able to move 3 satellites to new locations HB-13B / HB-13C & HB-13E,

The failure of Eutelsat 5 West B to reach full potential due to a damaged solar panel has added to Eutelsat's problems,
Why they do not move Hotbird 13E to 5 West with only 3 active transponders in use with 38 available @ 13E is beyond me,

https://www.lyngsat.com/Hotbird-13E.html

Eutelsat need to manage the fleet better than they currently do.

You are right there.

It is difficult to understand, why the 7A first had to fly 60° E across the horizon, now having to fly half the way back.
And then maybe just occupy the slot, that is to be secured.
Couldn't Eutelsat have known that beforehand?

But they'll surely know what they're doing

...

So, now the 7A's journey has obviously come to an end in the meantime.
Will there ever be any transmissions from there?
Only as a placeholder is it really a shame
