OpenAtv 6.4 cannot acces ftp

Hi.
Purchased new box Sf8008 with openatv 6.4 installed.
Has changed my password to my own "test" and saved. But when I try to connect me via DCC or filezilla I get the error message.

Try login with Putty

If it still fail maybe the password was not changed. Try change again in putty.

Enter IP
Select Telnet
Click Open
At the prompt type root hit enter
Now type passwd hit enter
type your new password hit enter
at prompt type password again hit enter.
Done

Solution.

There is something wrong with openatv 6.4.

when downgrading to 6.3 or upgrading to 6.5 ftp/password work good. Use USB and recovery image.

Version 6.4 a password must be defined under network.
As long as no password is defined, no FTP connection.

Change your forgotten password:

Open OpenWebif with your IP 192.168.xxx.xx, then at the bottom left on Terminal, login: root, then for example openpli, enter passwd, then dreambox (you cannot see the entry dreambox) and again dreambox, or enter another password, Enter. Reboot completed.

Now you can access the receiver again via FTP ****> DCC / Filezilla

FTP User root ## FTP Password: openspa or openpli or openvix or openatv or your image name, or dreambox

How do I change my password over FTP?

take DCC / FileZilla enter "passwd" ("without") via Telnet, it appears: Changing password for root

Enter new password: assign a password (example: dreambox) of your choice. Be careful you cannot see the password entry

Re-enter new password: same password. Caution you cannot see the password entry again.

It has to be the same password twice

There is nothing easier than changing the password with openatv 6.4 and there is no problem with this image when you know .... under telnet you type ... passwd and it will ask you enter your new password and confirm and enter, otherwise directly in the device with config and network menu and there we see passwd, just change it with the remote control keypad and confirm .... no problem. ...
