I have this problem all of a sudden.
This message

""rejected reader sid (5 ms) by SoftCam.Key (F/2/2/2)""

Is showing up and oscam do not clear any channels.
I have not changed anything but the newest version 11272,was working fine before with older versions, and also with this one,but after a reboot it didn;t work anymore.

I tried too many things, but none shielded any better results.
Anybody can help?

BISS Key Format in SoftCam.Key file

I am new to Linux based STB's.

I just start learning this stuff from the scratch.

I've never used Linux before.

I have previous experience with Delphi (Pascal), ARM processor assembly / disassembly, reverse engineering CDMA mobile phones, CDMA phone unlocking & flashing, much experience in JTAG.

Now I am retired and just want to reanimate my old hobby of Satellite TV. I used to be very active in this field way back in 1989-1993 when I lived in Russia.

A lot of things have changed since that time and I need to update myself on all new stuff (Linux based STB, Dreambox, Softcam, etc.).

I bought an "Vu+ Solo" clone called "MEELO+ ONE" (believed to be the same as "X SOLO Mini2", "GI Genius E3HD", "AXAS E3HD" and other E3HD clones).

I replaced the original image by HD Media Universe image: HDMU_15870_E3HD_OE_2645 available from HERE

It is OpenPli as far as I can understand, isn't it?

Now I have this configuration:

HDMU image, revision 15870

STB: e3hd
CPU: BCM7358A1 501 MHz (1 core)
Kernel version: 3.18.24
GIT Rev: 2645
DVB drivers: 2015-12-10
Python version: 2.7.11
GStreamer: 1.9.1 (GIT)
Tuner A: BCM7346 (internal) (DVB-S2)

This is just an introduction because I am going to be very active in this esteemed Forum.

Currently I am not interested in card sharing, I want to remove all unnecessary stuff from my Softcam configs to make it more simple.

At this time I want basically to view BISS and PowerVu channels from Asiasat 7 at 105.5° E using only SoftCam.Key file.

My understanding is that only the latest Oscam emulator can be used for PowerVu decoding. Please correct me if I am wrong.

So I just want to have a stand alone Oscam to view both BISS and PowerVu channels with the help of SoftCam.Key file.

Very simple, isn't it? Well it may look simple for someone but I am completely lost with all those Softcam config files!

Please point me to the right direction.

I have installed the latest official Oscam version: oscam-svn11273-mips-tuxbox-oe2.0-webif-Distribution

It seems to be working as I can see the Oscam Web Interface and Live Log.

Question Number One

Does this official (not patched) version of Oscam support PowerVu decoding via SoftCam.Key file?

I want to start with opening BISS channels on Yamal 202 at 49° E

My previous SoftCam.Key file successfully opened all those BISS channels on Yamal 202 with Mgcamd emulator.

But later I understood that Mgcamd is not able to open PowerVu.

So I uninstalled Mgcamd and installed Oscam as a stand alone version.

I have studied a lot of discussions about Oscam config files setup on various forums.

I have tried all possible configurations suggested on various forums but still cannot open a single BISS channel with Oscam.

Is it possible that perhaps the BISS key format in my old SoftCam.Key file that was working with Mgcamd is not valid for Oscam?

The BISS keys in my old SoftCam.Key file are entered in the following format:

F 00011FFF 00 0327022C106251C3 ;Yamal 202 (49E)
F 00011FFF 01 0327022C106251C3 ;Yamal 202 (49E)
F 00021FFF 00 0327022C106251C3 ;Yamal 202 (49E)
F 00021FFF 01 0327022C106251C3 ;Yamal 202 (49E)
F 05141FFF 00 0327022C106251C3 ;Yamal 202 (49E)
F 05141FFF 01 0327022C106251C3 ;Yamal 202 (49E)

The Oscam Live Log shows:

Question Number Two

Can this be related to the wrong format of BISS key in my old SoftCam.Key file

why use SoftCam.Key for both reader ?

emu use SoftCam.Key (if use only one key for SID)
constcw use constant.cw (if use more keys for SID)

I have an original VuDuo2 and chinese VuDuo2 mini and a Meelo. On the Meelo, that has an ARM-cpu, CCcam 2.3 came installed. The Meelo runs perfectly with a card inserted, but hangs after a few minutes to half an hour on a remote card. The Meelo needs to be switched off and on to resume from a black sreen to a normal image. What could cause this? The remote cards work well on my other receivers.
