Can I upgrade my SAMSUNG DSR9500 EM VIA?

Hi All,

I got this sammy

SAMSUNG DSR9500 EM VIA
Loader Version:505
Main Software Version:133
Hardware Version:503

I tried several times to upgrade it via the latest firmware SamsungDSR9500_RVGOLD_V8. 2.bin with DSR Studio 1.4 but unfortunately it always failed.

Upgrade process starts but block after proc 3-09 on LCD screen.Same issue with
SemcoEditor204."Time out connection error" when I want to flash.

As far I understand we can only flash with boot loader 501/504 and not upper version ?

In this case how to downgrade to right version please.

Thanks to your help,I dont want to JTAG my Sammy :mecry:

Make sure your loader is 505 (normally EM VIA comes with 703) if it's correct jtag is possible and you can downgrade to 501 and firmware can be uploaded via serial port if you want to enjoy emu. No ways otherwise, sorry only jtag can do it.
Remember that it is not possible if you have loader 703. Good luck.

Yes it is not simple, take a look to attached documentation and search on forum for other experiences before doing any move.

Sorry guys still corrupt files on both links.

I had this error when I want to extract with WinRar 4.65

"C:\Documents and Settings\Kamui\Bureau\JTag_Loader_501.zip: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged"
