help me about satellite.xml

I download satellite.xml from this site http://satellites-xml.eu/

I have many questions:
do I need every time download that file?
where I put satellite.xml on vu solo 2?
after I put it what I can do to add new transponder or new channels ?

it goes into the etc folder or etc/tuxbox folder and just overwrite your own, and no you don't have to keep downloading it

every time you update your channels list with a pre made list your sat.xml file will have a new updated version in it .
so no need for manual update really .

If you dont use a pre made channel list and scan your own sats then a upto date satellite.xml is essential is you use a pre made list there is really no need.
