I need help. I accidentally clicked on a old file version on my USB drive when doing a update to the HD1100S and now the classic problem it is stuck in boot mode. To my surprise there is no serial RS232 port on this unit. Does any one know of any trick or anything at all that I can do. I had the unit for a total of one hour so it is very discouraging. The only info the company will give me is that I need to send it back for repair at a cost of 50 plus $60 for shipping from the USA.
When this happens to the Pansat models they give you a simple procedure to do. Just change the file extension on a current file to .api and put on a blank usb drive, insert it in receiver, hold right arrow key on front panel down and turn on power from rear switch and it will auto load the file and unlock the receiver. This just lets me know that there could be a fix without sending it back but maybe still not with Vantage. Again open to any suggestions as I probably can not make it any worse.
