Increase your Internet Speed

Right click on My computer
Choose Properties
Then go HARDWARE tab->Device manager
Go to Ports ->Communication Port(double click on it and Open)
Then
Go the Port Setting and make some changes:
On “Bits per second” change to 128000
And “Flow control” option change to Hardware
Apply and see the result.

EXACTLY ! you cannott increase your speed only your ISP can do this which usually involves giving ISP more & more ££'s !!
This "Trick" is just complete nonsense and it does not work whatsoever .

This speed only for PC and LAN port :)

Its no part of internet speed :)
Only provider can increase internet speed :)

first off 128000 is bps - it's for com ports
its not gonna do anything to ur network card

second - it used to be done on analogue modems for pc<->modem speed but was ultimately dependant on hardware and ur isp speed

third - don't believe everything you read

This "trick" is more then 10 years old from 56K modem age.
It can be used to change serial port speed now, but has nothing to do with internet speed this way.

Can't believe somebody actually said "Thanks" for that post :nana:
