Looking for a DVB-S2 Card

ok got it dog-man thnxs ,
i think MaRwAn26 above post#13 has reset to make version PRO
but i get 21 day free trial anyhow so it matters not i guess
do you get any audio problems on HD Channels ??
im doing another fresh scan on 28e HD FTA channels but im still having no sound on anything in HD and cant figure out why ??
i think it maybbe something to do with Audio codecs perhaps ?

I currently use DVB Dream as I prefer it to Prog DVB.

I had no audio problems, so it must be a codec issue.

There are versions of DVB Dream available on here that will work forever. (cough).
DVBDream will also record encrypted pids. So will 'SmartDVB' which is free.

You're right that SS2 HD is cheap but has a little problem,the tuner does not know to lock signal transmitted in the narrow band.I don't know if it's because the driver or tuner is not well calibrated.Maybe is not accidentally Technisat produced eXpress version with new chip,which can be used with Crazyscan or EBS utilities,that can not do with SS2 HD.I have this card when it was launched on the market.

On the same Windows 7 configuration, I use 1.1.1.502 BDA driver version.It works well.

You should know that not all codecs work on Windows 64 bit.For this reason, even the author recommends installing the ProgdVB 32 bit version. So I proceeded myself, and since then there are no longer video/audio problems with ProgdVB.

I just put it on my other PC that working with OS win7 64bit and working perfect

once you put it the windows will create a new folder in C partition that has all applications working with 32bit
and the new folder will be called Program Files (x86)

and your progdvb location will be here

C:\Program Files (x86)\ProgDVB

I think your problem is with the driver

download the latest update driver of skystar Version 4.6.0 here

If you have TechniSat SkyStar HD2 card, then you must install the BDA driver Twinhan Mantis series 1.1.1.502

doing a full channel scan now on 28e as default channel list is useless and contains no HD channels .
after scan completes i will report back on Audio issues if fixed or not

ok here a late late update ...
sorry for delays
Audio issues are now totally sorted on HD channels
ive been trying almost everything all day long to resolve this ...how i sorted this was i installed K LITE Codec Pack
then ..
installed ProgDVB 6.51.2 PRO Unregistered
scanned in channels everything now great apart from the fact that this version is giving me only 21 days free trial
is there anyway around this issue please ?

your help is utterly amazing to be honest .
hopefully i can get around this Trial version issues before trial runs out ??

I Think we might have some hope i can record TS Files now and hopefully we get Biss keys for TNA On thursday night with any luck at all .
i'll test recording tommorrow looks like we making huge leaps in progress so far Thank you All .

about the 21 trial you might try and use my reset applications that uploaded with the version 6.11 pro :thum:

and there you go you'll get another 21 days and repeat this thing once in a 21 days and it will be just like a complete version

so far I didn't try the version 6.51.2 pro in recording a ts files so I don't know if it does support recording the ts file that has all the info that it can give the right Crypt8

Does your graphic card support CUDA ?

if not then use this version of tool ( CSA-Rainbow-Table-Tool_V1.03.zip ) to give you the Crypt8 :thum:

the new releases don't work with any graphic card if they don't support CUDA

this version is working with all graphic cards

the only disadvantage of this version doesn't give the Crypt8 of the plain type chain B8hx030000h but the others like _B8hx00h & B8hxFFh is OK

i have CSA-Rainbow-Table-Tool v2.02 from Sept 12 2013
and Cudabiss22464 x64 bit
both work Fine for sure .
ive teested now freesat channels on 28e almost all HD works only BBC News HD and a few BBC HD Regions not many
ive tested recording on ITV HD FTA and it worked perfect no trouble at all .
so i'll continue recording and do encrypted channels tommorrow ..how big of a file does the TS File need to be in size that i record to obtain crypt8 from Biss encrypt channels ???
i also would luv to know howto load a channel list to save me from waiting on sat scans all the time

and maybbe later learn howto use this SkyStar 2 HD PCI Card as c/s client aswell ...so much to learn yet but im making quite good headway for a n00b i hope :thum:

recording a FTA channel is not a big deal

as I said so far the most important thing is that your version should support all the transport stream of Apid and Vpid during recording to find the exact Crypt8 from the recorded ts file.

and about the size of the recording should be not smaller than 500mb some feeds need recording a bigger size reaching 2gb or more to get the right crypt8

I don't know if the unregistered version of the ProgDVB record all information in the stream, but I think its worth trying.In principle both versions should do the same thing.In Service menu => Pid Recorder,you must tick -"All transport stream":

I using "ProgDVB 6.51.7 Pro" version.

"Reseter" I'm running through the installation folder.

But, I do not prolong period of time.
