correct cccam for dm500 clone

hi all, new to this.
do i need a specific cccam to install onto my son's dm500 running nabilosat dm500 v0.8

has mgcamd 1.31 at the moment but have been told he will need cccam.

don't want to mess up his box so thought would check out possible pitfalls here first.
