Which GPU to buy to search BISS keys in TABLE V1

For sure I used a 460 card for search with ssd work just fine, the 1080 was for 4K high bitrate that is slim pickings at this time. That was the point I try to make in a round about way. But if you want to make chains that beast will write 3 a day. For sure the ssd drives were big$ now they give them away just like 4K tv's now very cheap.

the hard work was done years ago, fuk me its been 7 years since Colibri released the tools.

If i had used my gpu's to mine bitcoin instead of generating chains i would be a millionaire.

To search cw's now in the rbt table only requires an old gpu. pointless spending $$$. Get an old gtx 480, it will find cw's in around 2-4 minutes on an sata SSD. Fuk me SSD's are cheap as chips theses days, if i had bought bitcoin instead of SSD's back in 2012 i would be a billionaire :p

Choosing a old but having many cuda cores GPU to get biss key is a good idea to me.
I don't play any large games.

Sorry, but only the bin seems to be fit to this garbage (all fakes)

Maybe it needs large capacity with all V1 tables on SSD.

I do not understand, are you trying to help me?
If so,I need nothing, not looking to any faster search, nor to have more tables.

I was under the impression is you the one that is starting with your biss setup.
I started mine 12 years ago in a forum where all biss search started, with cudabiss development.
I think I am ok,thanks for your concern.

First, I am new player.
Second, Maybe only advice to me.
Third, I'm learning now, maybe something wrong.

First is to spend a long time reading threads in the forums from page 1. Yes it takes a long time but all the information you want has been discussed and asked and answered. Research, do some.

Someone asked for a CW by posting in the encryption thread.

7E 11043 v 7200
91 5D 2B 43 3D 98 7A 86 [E] Count:1790 <= B8hx030000h

I am using a 4tb SSD which has 3.6tb of data for V1.

Device 0: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti

Search CW Start
RBT file: F:\Biss V1 file\B8hx030000H\B8hx030000h_table2\CSA_B8hx030000h_10000h.rbt
Calc all 10000h end values for this crypt ... (using file cache)
Search end values in RBT ...
Searching CW in RBT ...
Found 129426 possible chains (harddisk only search time = 78 sec.)
Analysing chains ... (will be 10 times slower if an other thread is keeping the GPU busy)
found CW: DO NOT SHOW CW HERE IN this thread
Search CW done (103 sec.)

Now I do a new scan

GTX 1080 ti is a 3584 cuda cores, more than double cores GTX 970,also about 4 times the price,if not going to higher models that run at $1300 US
Only oneself knows how much to expend on searching biss keys.

My next GPU will be the 2080 TI with 4352 cores

Good for you.
Going into that range of cards also involve to upgrade the power supply, sometimes even motherboard.
So,for someone just starting represent a lot of money to invest.
But some could be ready, who knows.

Anyway, there is always an investment to make if you want to search for keys, from video cards,to SSD to power supply, maybe motherboard.

@blackcrusader, of your 96 seconds search time, there is 75 seconds for disk search, so 21 seconds is pure compute (rebuilding chains). Quick calcs (using core counts & base clocks for the two cards) show that your proposed GPU upgrade might shave a mere 3-4 seconds off the compute time. Result -> full search time down to 92 seconds at best, barely noticeable.

Of course I'm totally agree with you :thum:
And we might add if one only cares about his own pc performance and forget to invest in tables, programs, intuitions, ability to find the correct c8 in the most complicated situations, he simply halves the CW not found time  indipendently of the very expensive system he has built.

If I RAID two 4tb SSD drives I could have the disk search time lol

Or even better wait until there are 4TB M2 SSD chipsets :)

My V1 system uses 3.6TB on a 4tb SSD. Do you think I am missing a lot?

I think in the last few years I have missed getting a CW in V1 only a few times. One time was my fault I scanned using wrong table lol

I can always use the PC for a nice gaming computer if not needing it for other things later on.

If I did decide to do another newer server it probably would be an AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX 2nd Gen Chip

V1 tables search code in CSA Rainbow Table Tool far from perfect. You can drastically improve speed by rewriting software.
