Hi, perhaps somebody could give me a little guidance on a little problem I've come across,
I am having a little trouble trying to set up two 120s to work with newcamd through my home router (As previously described below)

I cannot seem to make a connection between the boxes, not even a successful ping. I've been able to connect to external newcamd servers in the past so I guess my problem is my setup on the server end of things. Possible solutions I've seen in the past refer to port forwarding settings on my router but this area would be new to me.

I assumed as my server/client info I entered matched (IP Address, port, user, password) I could simply select 'start' on my server box and 'connect' on my client box, but this has not worked.

Any possible solutions would be greatly appreciated (perhaps I am overlooking something very simple). Thanks in advance,

I have the same problems, yet what I read on the forums looks simple, unless it is necessary to play on the router,, I already tried several changes but still failed
and yet I have already configured, multiple cameras at home!
It is true that I configuer a test server in newcamd azbox bravissimo and a ferguson ariva ts 100 in customer = nothing at all!

1 ° the notions Clines for Cfg files are not clear between various devices
Cline is for certain the client mode (I am a customer and I connect to a server) and the other for Cline is defined in server mode (server and I am I distribute to others)

for Ariva ts 100
with the file allashare.dat, loading with usb
that erases "the user and pass" newcamd server, but the menu is correct "newcamd client" with the data written with "notepad"

I am the server and I share with others:
menu> tools> app selected: Newcamd Server
red button> Server menu

I took a subscription in a dyndns site that allows me to have two address dyndns

Why?
because the vast majority of lan-box have an ip address that changes every 12 to 24 hours
at the a subscription, a small program is given which allows for the correct ip in permamence box-lan (is that you have a pc running with this software)
