vu+ uno wireless

ik having trouble connecting wirelessly to my network.
vu+uno with supplied usb wireless dongle.
vix 3.0.627 image

i know the receiver recognises the usb dongle because it gives me the option to set up WLAN.

here are the settings i have done.....

in menu/system/network/device setup, i select WLAN connection
in adapter settings i have.....
use interface.........yes
use DHCP..............yes
hidden network.......no
network name.....(my network name)
encryption..........WPA2
encryption key.....(my network key)
primary DNS .........0.0.0.0.
secondary DNS.......0.0.0.0
current settings
ip address...............NA
netmask..................NA
gateway..................NA

network: WLAN connection

i run a network test..............
LAN adapter...........WLAN connection is ticked green
wireless..............disconnected red cross
DHCP.................enabled ticked green
IP address..........unconfirmed red cross
name server.....unconfirmed red cross

in network setup/ show WLAN status
access point:.....not-associated Tx-power=20dBm
SSID:.................No connection

ok, i found a way to get it working.

when i looked at my network security on the PC it was showing my encryption as WPA2-personal.
on the receiver there was'nt an option to configure the encryption type to WPA-personal so i went into my virginmedia superhub web interface and changed the encryption type to WPA-PSK[AES].
went to my receiver, changed encryption type to WPA-WPA2 and connected instantly.

sometimes an inquisitive mind and sheer luck wins through!
