3150d usb updating info plz

hi guys
just a quick question
the technomate 3150d can you patch this using the usb?
as its for a friend of mine and i,m sure it can be done through usb same way as the 5400.
and i know it will only get the basics ie digitv eurosport etc.
can someone just confirm this for me.
