Hi,
I have a problem with my Opticum X402p perhaps similar to that of sandhead:
after flashing the STB via USB with software globo_x4_amstar_sab_1.5.38_gisclub.tv.abs (unfortunately without updating bootloader-ver.1.1.6 - stupid fault of mine!) I got a success-message, but since automatical reboot the box hangs in an endlessly bootloop.
By plugging off and on, display first shows "0000" for about 1 sec., afterwards looping between "ON" and "boot" infinitely. This problem seems to be due to corrupted bootdata rather then to damaged powersupply, since I can't detect any bulbing elkos in my box and measuring the voltage applied to motherboard shows correct values (with one exception: 22V-pin measures 25V instead).
Trying Software Upgrade via RS-232 by running EromUpgrade.exe (STB EROM Ugrade 2.0.0c, found in this forum) always gets "Please reset target!"-message; plugging STB off and on to electrical current even repeatedly does'nt change anything. Thus box seems to refuse any RS-232-communication, or can it be forced more powerful by direct-cloning a working X402p-box?
If not so, is there available a jtag-instruction suitable to Opticum X402p and its clones, or knows anyone another possibility of how to reanimate my STB? I would be very grateful for every working hint.
Thanks and happy new year!
