Taribo West (born 26 March 1974 in Port Harcourt, Nigeria - is a Nigerian retired professional footballer who played as a defender. West represented the Nigerian national team in the 1998 and 2002 World Cups. He is known for the various unusual and colourful hairstyles that he has sported over the years.
West moved to France in January 1993, spending four and half years at Auxerre. He was part of a successful team that won the league championship and two French Cups. He then moved on to Internazionale, where he played a vital role in capturing the UEFA Cup in 1998.
West found himself at the centre of heated transfer speculation at the end of the 1998–99 season following clashes with former Internazionale coach Mircea Lucescu. Once Marcello Lippi took over the club, it became apparent that West had to leave. After many months of talks with various clubs, including Newcastle United, Liverpool, Ajax and Juventus, West joined Inter's cross-town rivals A.C. Milan. He helped them to secure a berth in the following season's UEFA Champions League.
Subsequently, West spent unremarkable brief spells with Derby County and Kaiserslautern.
West was again playing the spotlight of Europe when he was acquired by Partizan from Serbia. With Partizan, West played a crucial role in defence under then manager Lothar Matthäus and helped Partizan get to the Champions League group stage, where they were drawn in a group with Real Madrid, Porto and Marseille. After that, in early August 2004, he signed a one-year contract with Al-Arabi Sports Club.
On 5 July 2005, West was signed by Football League Championship side Plymouth Argyle, but only made four appearances.
In August 2005, Derby County fans sent shirts to West's hometown in Nigeria in a campaign backed by BBC Radio Derby.

After advancing from one age group youth team to another, this talented young goalkeeper made his way to the first squad of the Ukrainian giants Dynamo where he made his debut in a league fixture in 1993. By next year he was already called up to the Ukraine national football team. Throughout the majority of his career he was the first choice goalkeeper for Dynamo, except for a few brief periods caused by injuries. The goalkeeper's fame came to him as he became notorious for saving penalties, which made him popular in the media and among fans. By the end of 2009 his goals against average in the League was .632 with over 300 games played.
In summer 2011, Shovkovskiy played the 100st match in Champions League (against Rubin Kazan in Kazan). Shovkovskiy played 121 matches in european cups, with 33 clean-sheet matches.)

Yves Vanderhaeghe (born 30 January 1970 in Roeselaere - is a Belgian retired footballer who played as a defensive midfielder.
Known for his tackling, hard-working approach and stamina, he played for five different clubs during his 22-year professional career.
A late bloomer, Vanderhaeghe reached the Belgian national team at only 29, but still went on to collect nearly 50 caps, representing the nation in one World Cup and one European Championship.
At the age of 16, Vanderhaeghe moved from hometown's K.S.V. Roeselare to Cercle Brugge KSV, on loan, but he only played one game in two seasons. Subsequently he returned to his first club, playing four years in the Belgian Third Division and two in the second, now with the shirt of R.E. Mouscron.
Vanderhaeghe first established himself in the top level with K.S.C. Eendracht Aalst, amassing more than 100 official appearances and adding 11 goals in the league alone. In January 1998 he returned to Mouscron, scoring a career-best eight times in the 1999–2000 season as the Wallonia club finished in fourth position, nearly qualifying for the UEFA Cup.
Aged already 30, Vanderhaeghe signed with country giants R.S.C. Anderlecht. In his first two years combined he appeared in 65 matches, helping the Brussels club to the league and the domestic supercup in his debut campaign; in the following years he began to be irregularly used, due to persistent injury problems.
During the winter-break of the 2006–07 season, 37-year old Vanderhaeghe was told to look for a new club, and he joined another old acquaintance, Roeselaere, by then competing in the first division. He retired in June 2008, later working as assistant manager at K.V. Kortrijk.
Vanderhaeghe made 48 appearances for Belgium, his debut coming on 30 May 1999 against Peru (in a friendly tournament in Japan) at the age of 29.
Vanderhaeghe represented the nation in UEFA Euro 2000 – played on home soil – and the 2002 FIFA World Cup, totalling seven appearances and helping the country to the round-of-16 in the latter competition (0–2 against eventual winners Brazil). He scored his two only goals for Belgium in the historic 10–1 win against San Marino in Brussels for the 2002 World Cup qualifiers, on 28 February 2001.
