Your right mate
Use Putty tel or other Telnet program to set a password.
Programs like DCC and some FTP progams need a password setiing before they can be used.
The UR team image also has no password set.

Try with putty attached mate.
Start putty
Tick the telnet box
Enter the IP of the TM and click open.
At the prompt type root
At password promt hit enter don't input anything
If all goes well you'll now be at root.
Type passwd then enter, it will prompt for a new pass enter and repeat.
Not you'll not see any input when entering the password. it should report password changed.

You need the TM hooked up to your router mate for TCC or putty to work :thum:

un TM linux loader to upload a new imagethat worked for me.
still struggling to use the bloody thing but i got a new image and CCcam on there so im doing something right lol
What aspect is it your struggling with ?

not so much the box but everything involved in watching certain channels.
apart from only having a s#y dish just now i carnt get my head around what i need to do with emu's, keys etc etc. its quite mind boggling just now but i am reading and learning bit by bit.
its just that theres a lot more to all this than i ever imagined and i do wonder if i bought the best box to learn all this
