What is the difference between IRD,STB and Reciever?

Hello,
is there any difference between IRD,STB and Reciever or differences names to the same divice?

STB = Sattelite Transmision Broadcasting .


Reciever is the device that decode transmision of several transmision systems eg : DVB , DVB-S , DVB-T.


IRD I guess is when above can use a remotecontrol .

that's mean STB is not a device it means the transmission of data
