Very good news, it is back.
Just noted that Sport Business 1-4 do not work, the same for Prime Video Sportsbar.
Not a big problem, today we must be happy.
Just asking if these channels really do not work or am I wrong?

As far as I know Sky Sport Business IT & Prime Video IT are only available for Bars, Restaurants or Pubs, not for normal Sky Italia users.
Looks like they haven't got access to those channels.
Correct me if I'm wrong

Hi guys - a couple of questions / observations about the truly excellent Viark 4K please:

1) On Hotbird 13.0E I can receive a couple of FTA channels on the TM-5402 M3 each with a 97% / 16.1dB strength signal, but for which the Viark 4K just says 'weak signal' - other channels work just as they should on 13.0E on the Viark 4K so just wondered why this might be?
2) I think I'm going to order a couple of additional new remote controls as creating and sorting a full set of favourites for each satellite is very time consuming but utterly essential with so many channels to choose from! I might be wearing the remote out already!
3) Does anyone know what the first 8 icons in the Favourites are supposed to mean? I get the football icon is clearly for 'Sports', but I'm not sure what image some of the others actually are or for what type of favourite channels should be stored there. Any clues

Just use the red button to rename the icons to whatever you want when in the “Channels - TV Favourites menu” add channels to the corresponding icons then when you press the FAV button on your remote you can scroll through your favourites selections by pressing the yellow button on the remote.
The user manual is very basic as you will see

I just tried had same issue, this solved it

Can try either

Delete the tp
Add
11179
H
27500
Auto

Then
Scan mode - TV Channels
Start Search - TP Search

Or can try leaving your tp as it is and just do

Scan mode - TV Channels
Start Search - TP Search

Many thanks for that manic01. Having tried deleting the TP then adding a new TP, I get Strength 92% Quality 0% so no channels are found when doing the TP search for me as yet.

Before doing a satellite search I could do with knowing a bit more about backing up the channels/keys/favourites (I do this every single day on the TM-5402 as it's very quick and easy), and which I should do before deleting TP's, deleting channels, doing satellite scans etc. Best to have a good backup having spent so much time creating the favourites

Menu >> Net & Games >> USB >> Upload (YEL) >> then

Upload Data to USB - what Data is uploaded?
Upload Channels to USB - are just the Channels uploaded or Favourites as well?
Upload All to USB - are Data, Channels, Keys & Favourites all uploaded?
Upload Key to USB - are just the Keys uploaded?
Upload to FTP
Upload CHMax Channel List - I don't yet know what CHMax is?

Which of these should be done before doing satellite searches?

On 30.0W Hispasat, I tried deleting a TP, then exiting, going to standby and unplugging and waiting for 5 minutes...then plugging in, switching on, adding the same TP, but it was just the same: "Strength 92% Quality 00%"
The desired channels all show in either white or yellow in the menu, but some of the yellow channels simply have a "Strength 92% Quality 00%" issue.

On the TM-5402 M3 I can get FTA channels on the following TP's, but not on the Viark 4K:
10770 H 30000 - Cubavision Int.
12132 H 27500 - TV Record
12476 H 27500 - Kuriakos TV HD

On the Viark 4K I can get the following TP's:
10850 H 29996 - Signal Strength 92% Quality 72%
11731 H 29996 - Signal Strength 92% Quality 76%
11731 V 29996 - Signal Strength 92% Quality 76%
12548 V 29597 - Signal Strength 92% Quality 75%
12631 V 29996 - Signal Strength 92% Quality 75%
12671 V 30000 - Signal Strength 92% Quality 74%

all the rest have of the TP's on the Viark 4K have 'Strength 92% Quality 00%'

I guess the next stage is to delete the satellite, then re-install and scan the satellite and see what that brings.

I've pointed out here before that my Viark fails to receive a few certain transponders which are very strong and can be received fine on other receivers. I suspect this is due to some internal 'spurious' signal being generated inside the receiver itself and that the unwanted interfering signal may vary in frequency because of thermal issues or some complicated mixing process. When I have the time, I'll try probing inside the receiver with a spectrum analyser, to see it can be precisely located/eliminated.

Thanks Squiffy - it's interesting that manic01 also had the same issue on the 13E TP that I listed, but he easily managed to resolve it, so I do suspect that it is sortable for those better used to the Viark than I am as yet.
