TM5402 MK4

I cannot get Auto-biss working on my box. All it ever says 'Updating Biss key, please wait....' but never clears despite leaving it for ages and trying on numerous different feeds. I've run updates, box is connected via ethernet and working (can download updates and watch youtube), i recently moved to a new ISP and router but no joy.

Can anyone think of a reason why it might not be working? Is there anything I am meant to be doing to make it work or could be doing wrong (deleting biss keys to make space or adding any servers under 'server setup' etc)

Try jan 28 the patch you have loaded has been removed from TM download centre, maybe biss au issue?

you will likely need to renew that for BISS AU to work again .

Hey guys I am back on the site again. Wow - its different and will have to get used to it.

I agree with Manic - you may have better luck using or going back to Jan 28th 2022 patch.

That is what I am using right now and it's working again. Recent Aug 30th patch shut down
for some reason.

Can anyone else confirm their box doesn't show that 18 Jan - Jan 2022 line?

Hi all, just got a 5402 Mk4 as my old 7100 finally gave up.

All seems fine and classic Technomate. I'm just struggling with the manual biss key entry.

I have patched to Jan 28, and I can enter the key, but when I save and exit, it doesn't remember the channel I had selected when I entered the key - so when I go back into the biss key page it is showing OFF at the top of the page - and not the number of the key I selected when I pressed exit and save.

Is there another button I have to press first before saving? I've tried every button I think!

On the old 7100 you just selected the key line and then pressed exit and it would save the link to that key and go from there. Must be something I'm missing.

I personally would return to seller and ask for refund, there are too many issues now for my liking making this stb unusable.

@kippysat may be able to help with biss entry, Its not done like the old 5402 versions.

Afternoon my friends. Thanks to Manic for the patch updates.
I have to admit I am gun shy about trying this latest 27th/28th Sept version.

I tried the the Aug 30th one (since removed) and it disconnected my sub and
stopped my Auto BISS.
It took me 2 days of messing around and eventually I went back to the Jan 28th 2022
patch version.

As of now my TM 5402 M4 is working fine with the Jan 28th 2022 version. It's just
annoying that this version has a bug when renaming files that have been recorded.
The Aug 30th version should have fixed that - but it proved a mess and disconnected
any sub you had.

I will help you to try and get Jan 28th 2022 working again - but I am loathe to try
the 27th/28th Sept version until we know it is stable.

Sorry to say - but my confidence has been hit with TM patches.

Just saw your message. There's a bit to go through so let's start on PM.

I have just replied to you.

Just a warning and update to all who intend to install this latest patch.

If you go to the "Systems Settings" Menu - then choose the "Preferences" Menu
Then go to the bottom...

You will notice that the Option "Automatically Update Software" has been removed.

Using this patch means you can no longer control whether automatic updates take place
on your box. Just an FYI.

Kippysat kindly spent time trying to get my box to work with the autobiss, we made progress and now the box will open biss channels but unfortunately no luck when trying live feeds. Other reports (before the posts were lost in the upgrade) if I remember correctly have suggested it should work on feeds so perhaps my box is the issue but for now it has defeated me
