Ferrari announced in November 2011

We plan to release latest SSL and drivers in November for all models. There is no new security coming up as we know so we can release all models. And yes, with latest ssl you will be able use genuine latest drivers!

New Ferrari security smart card is coming. New features our users will love. All VISA type Ferrari cards sold will be upgradeable right from the inside of your box or by PC software. New upcoming Ferrari SSL planned release on November 2011 with latest genuine drivers support will work even with NON VISA TYPE Ferrari Security Smart Cards too. The "EXCLUSIVE NEW FEATURES" will be available for FERRARI VISA TYPE cards only! We plan do the security Smart Card upgrade on all Ferrari models. I will not be telling you about new SC features right now. Just wait I believe we have gr8 Christmas Gift for everyone of our Ferrari Family. Telling you now is same as you know what is your Christmas present now... :) Than it will not be a surprise.

and now for Christmas gift

As you all know well we are quite small team and in a couple of weeks we will extend our software team by one or two ppl. We have proven our ability are same or better than other team (we have already released DM800se new SSL and latest drivers for Ferrari card) other boxes are just routine job but trust me or not but very much time consuming. New Drivers and SSL is bringing just one new feature - Blind Scan - (It seems there is a small bug in latest genuine drivers anyway) SSL version - there is no difference and drivers we are using for building Ferrari images are stable and tested. New images for Ferrari boxes are released on regular bases and always tested by many users than released on our official support web page. I believe you understand the volume of our job is wider and wider while our support is same or even better quality as on the beginning of Ferrari team. Many thanks to our Admins, Global Mods, Mods, Smart Card team and especially to Power-Board team for great cooperation and support on passed year and I should not forget Pasha and his Domica supporting Ferrari team version by version of their images released exclusively for us - Ferrari team. We are very proud of. All above is keeping us - our support forum on very high level and reminding us everyday we have to carry on our best. The only thing presented to ferrari users was strange ssl86f which claimed to to be used with original drivers and original images,but tell now after 10 days from releasing ssl86f one image made with this ssl(openpli) and claimed to contain original drivers but in fact contained buggy drivers since March this year
so this year no Christmas gift from ferrari but ferrari users should not be disappointed and may receive it from Morningbird

i have DM 500HD with ferrari sim card inside, is it possible to get a sim2 card for 500HD and re[lace the ferrari sim ? would this work ?

Jepp same for 800hd models put a sim card inside and enjoy a crappless world of great images :)

Indeed there is no christmas gift from Ferrari and they didn't hold their promises till now, but the above statement is false. Ferrari team never claimed that this image has original drivers. They said it comes with latest (09/11/11) drivers, patched in order to skip the authenticity checks of DMM. And indeed these drivers are 09/11/11 patched, all files are from 09/11/11 release and when comparing bcm7405.ko (which is different) you can see it is the same code with DMM original drivers, just patched (a binary comparison will reveal this).

So, ferrari team indeed promised things that didn't deliver, but for 800se the drivers are on par with sim 2.x images.

And patching the driver is better approach than trying to patch the SSL IMHO, as long as the patch is correct. I guess a correctly patched driver could even run without any SIM at all.

If you cannot get S2.. card, wait few days, the last loader and driver already exist for you box and card for some weeks.

if the front screen have usb pic then
could be wrong ssl or the sim card is not fetid in correct
