Ok, I finally figured out how to install E2 on the Mini using a memory stick.
1) Flash the box with uboot 1.3.3 (perhaps 1.3.1 works too)
2) Flash the box with the E2 image
3) When booting, igore the strange symbols on the built in display, ignore some error message (in Italian) and after the gears have stopped, it says "Loading..." in the lower right corner, just press the menu button as it will always say "loading...". You are then presented with the E2 menu.
4) Find your way through the menus to change the language from Italian to your language. Reboot the device
Ta-da it works, provided you have hotbird or astra.
If you dont, you are SOL as you can't load new satellite settings becuase the box doesnt connect to your lan. If you change the IP address then address goes back to 192.168.1.2 after reboot and if you enable DHCP it doesnt use it. I even tried changing my Router's address to 192.168.1.1 and still I cant even ping 192.168.1.2 (the default address for the box).
I then tried using putty to set the enviornment variables by hooking up the box to my PC via usb cable and loading flashtools. The cuberevo mini manual says it can be done, but people on this forum says it can't. I tried but couldnt get the PC to see the box.
