You should be able to get it into recovery mode?

I think the way to do this might be to power it off at the rear switch first, then power it on using the rear panel switch and at the same time hold down the central button on the front panel?
If that works you should see the word RECO on the front panel and a connected TV should display the recovery menu options?

Have you any images in any other of your slots ?

If so you can via telnet boot to another image and then recovery the slot that no longer works.

For example to boot slot 2

cd /boot
cp STARTUP_2 STARTUP
reboot

Remove all peripherals, SD card, USB drive and then turn on the box.

I had the some some problem. Go to recovery mode like described above it will be alight.

Thats the same way as the qviart dual. If that is the same then maybe turning off and then when turning on they can press on the remote lots of 11111111, or 222222, 3333333, or 44444444 and this will boot into the different image slots.

To get to the recovery menu, use the following procedure:

1. Switch off the box
2. Press and hold any button on the remote control
3. Switch on the box at the power switch
4. After 6-7 seconds, release the button on the remote control
5. then you will enter recovery mode
6. then upgrade to Network Multiboot ok, select image and start upgrade
7. When finished, start Exit and Multiboot Selector Image with OK

There has been a driver update that causes a problem when you get the new drivers via an image update.

When your box restarts after an update, your box can't tune to a channel anymore.

Flashing a new image (that includes the new drivers) is the solution for this problem.

It would be handy if you have a settings backup, when you install a new image.


If your box is stuck after a driver update, there is a way to restore your current image by restoring a couple of "old" drivers and reboot your box.

When your box is stuck, you still can connect to your box over FTP with DCC, or FileZilla e.c.t.

Copy the attached "old" drivers to: /lib/modules/4.4.35/extra

Reboot your box.

Now you can make a settings backup, install a new image and restore the settings backup.


If the settings restore create a problem, you will have to flash a new image without restoring settings.

I did not test this yet, i only restored my images by restoring the drivers

thanks for the replys but i got it to recovery mode and it will not let me update by network it is like it dont recognize anything and the same with the usb never seen anything like this before

if somebody could show me a step by step guide on how to bring it back it would be appreciated a lot

and also it has lost all images there is no image showing in it nothing but empty slots really weird

Can i ask if you power off the box and then turn it on whilst pressing the power button on the front do you get the screen to scroll and reco, update and e2 update?

maybe you didn't extract the image folder rightly !

the solution of your problem must be REFLASH your device from scratch with any image you want

format your USB stick with FAT32

Extract image folder there (all files of image's folder must be there)

Turn OFF your device

put it on usb3.0 port (LATERAL RIGHT SIDE)

turn ON with pressing the stand-by button

you'll see some options in your TV

choose RECOVERY FROM USB

let it finish
