I tried using that method when setting up my zone 2, with 13E, 19.2E and 28.2E, but the father in law was up the ladder with the dish, and due to the delay between the box and the phone getting the signal, by the time it showed anything, he had moved the dish too far and lost the signal.I only ever really need a "signal meter" when messing with my own dishes (or for a couple of mates that physically cant do so themselves)
I use an E2 STB and mobile phone with "signal meter" type app, and TBH find it better than any of the cheapo "signal meters" i have tried.
The only downside of this STB / phone method is you need both to be connected to the same wifi network, not had an issue myself but some might if the dish is miles from the router.
That looks like its got nice big digits on it.Bit late to the party here.
I have a GTMedia v8 finder 2 (bought it from Ali as it was very cheap from there and arrived in 4 days I think it was).
Appreciate what you say about lcd's not being great in bright sunlight, however I had no issues using it on a sunny day, it helps that you can change the info on the screen at the click of a button.
